What we can we do to save the Earth?
I think we should all do our part and try to conserve our resources as they are very limited. Examples are oil and coal. I think sooner or later the Earth will be doomed. Its not a question of why, but when? We must apply the three r's: Reuse, Recycle and Reduce. We should stop cutting down trees and forests. I don't think we are doing enough to save our Earth. We have already passed the point of no return, and so we must slow down the process as much as possible.

What we can we do to save the Earth?
Ans:
Of course we can reuse, reduce and recycle. For example, we can reuse big juice bottles as watering cans or plant pots. We can also reduce our use of plastic bags by using big recyclable bags instead, especially when we go marketing. Recycling of boxes to make art and craft, and making sure that we dump recyclables to the recycling bins, are ways we can do our part.
I also think we should plant more trees in barren land and stop cutting down trees. This is because the more trees there are, there will be less carbon emissions as plants absorbs the most carbon dioxide in this world. To add on, plants give out oxygen which we need, to live.
World leaders should start working more cooperatively with the smaller nations in the world to save the earth from its doom. During the recent United Nations Climate Change Conference Copenhagen 2009, the President of the United States of America said that they were going to take note of what was needed to be done. Only Brazil, China, US, South Africa and India were agreeable. The rest of the smaller nations were not happy with the decisions made as what the bigger nations agreed on did not really address the world issue of global warming. The smaller nations called the agreement the start of a holocaust.
I also agree with the idea of synthetic trees being developed from the baobab trees, native to Africa and Australia, to temporarily store carbon dioxide. Please read this article about it.
This would buy us some time to save the world.

We could practice the '3r's (reduce,reuse,and recycle):
1)Reduce: Example,we could reduce the use of electricity by turning off the lightbulb(s) when we leave the room.
2)Reuse:Instead of throwing stuff like cardboard away, you can use your creativity ,reuse it and maybe turn it into a decoration.
3)Recycle:When you do not need recyclable things (e.g..) plastic bottles,throw it into the recycling bin instead of rubbish bins,so it can be recycled into (e.g.)other plastic bottles.

| Doom will come eventually. Even if we were to help it. The harm we caused is already too much for the Earth to accept. Accept that the Earth is SICK due to us, HUMANS. All we can do now is to slow the process of global warming and climate change. Maybe in the end is still for us, 3 more degrees in the temperature and Singapore will be covered under water. That is why we are trying to recycle things. Before we even try to save Earth, we should save the other living thing which is facing facing extinction. Earth cannot live without it 'companions'. Without them, Earth is just like Mars. I am not trying to say bad things but, we cannot have so many children at home. With the increasing population, we will consume more food. Think about it, 2 parents were to give birth to 3 child, the parents dies and there will be one more extra person. But Reducing, Recycling, Reusing is still a necessity to SLOW the global warming ~Report Completed~ |

Will human beings' selfish acts bring about the Earth's doom?
Yes, human selfish acts will bring about the earth's doom as we are constantly polluting the environment, like waste materials being discharged from factories, vehicles, deforestation (e.g) burning of forest for agriculture purposes, the depleting of the ozone layer by chlorofluorocarbon also known as CFC. Now there is already a hole in the ozone layer and the UV rays which enters through that gap can kill plants. When the temperature rises as more green house gasses gets accumulated, more unwanted pest might bloom. most of our fossil fuels reserves will run out in about 50 years.
*The price of fossil fuels is getting higher every year. If the current consumption rate remains the same, proven oil reserves will last about 40 years. As for gas, it will be available for another 65 years if there are no interruptions in the supplies found in the Middle East and Russia, the world's largest gas and oil suppliers. Proven coal reserves should last another 155 years, but if we run out of gas and oil before then, we might have to use more coal to substitute energy sources. In that case, coal reserves wouldn't last more than 100 years. Also, the fossil fuel consumption rate is growing every year so we have even less time before the energy starvation begins.*

Conservation
Nothing will last for ever.
So, we should learn to conserve them.
We can do this with the help of the 3R's:
*Reduce:
We can reduce the amount of things
we use everyday.
*Reuse:
We should try our best to reuse
some things that we can.
*Recycle:
We can just throw them in
the recycle bin.

Pollution destroys the habitat
of most of the living things.
Pollution is occurred by:

If human beings continue their selfish acts by using up natural resources like fossil fuels and coal to generate electricity which releases a lot of toxic gases into the air ; cut down trees to make paper and also build homes and roads through the forest, it will cause deforestation which will contribute to global warming. Carbon dioxide is been released during these processes . Carbon dioxide will trap heat from the Sun and make the Earth warm which increases the temperature of our surroundings causing ice caps and huge glaciers to be melted , increasing the sea-level which may cover some small Islands. Fishes in the sea may die due to the sudden rise in temperature as time goes by. Crops may wither and our main food source is gone! So, I can assure that if we human beings continue our selfish acts , we will bring about the Mother Earth's doom.
We can save the Earth by reducing Global warming and conserving electricity. We can reduce global warming by using CFC-free sprays planting trees rather than cutting them using electricity produced from solar panels , reduce use of fuels by taking public transport instead of driving your own car or else we can carpool , use products with less packaging and mainly bring your own shopping bags instead of using plastic bags !

We use both sides of the paper before throwing it to save paper,take quick showers,do not turn on the shower while applying soap and use a mug to rinse or gurgle your mouth instead of a running tap.Turn the electricity off when not in use and try to use a fan instead of a air-condintioner.We could ask those who can afford hybrid cars to do so as it helps reduce air pollution.If not,ask more people to take the public transport so as to save fossil fuel and causing less air pollution.We can also use those water,solar and electricity cars to save the earth.

Yes we will as we are polluting the Earth right now. Every minute, every hour, every second. One day, Earth's resources will run out and Earth's doom is almost equivalent to living things' doom.
What we can we do to save the Earth?
We can try to conserve energy; etc: use the light energy from the Sun during the day to convert to electrical energy.
We can follow the 3Rs, reduce, reuse and recycle to live the best of our lives while attempting to help Mother Nature.
We can try to create ways to save the Earth, inventing new machines, gadgets to try to reduce our usage of resources and increasing our rates of saving the Earth.

Environment means:
. the aggregate of surrounding things, conditions, or influences
. the air, water, minerals, organisms, and all other external factors surrounding and affecting a given organism at any time.
. the social and cultural forces that shape the life of a person or a population.
We can make the environment suitable for us to live by reducing, reusing and recycling. We can have many recyclable bins in public places and we can have many environmental campaigns which are very unique and that will take place in other people's minds easily and they will think about the 3 Rs very high.

YES!Human beings' selfish acts will DEFINITELY bring about the Earth's doom!
We must make sure that we reduce the usage of electricity,water and we should not use plastic bags and use our own bags made of cloth more often when we go shopping.We should also take public transport instead of private transport to reduce the number of vehicles on the road so that less poisonous gases will be released into the air,making holes in the ozone layer,causing global warming which increases the temperature of the earth,melting the polar caps in the artic and causing the rise in our sea level which may flood the earth,causing us to drown and die.

Inside it, we are surrounded by a diversity of people, animals and plants.But if 2 environments are to clash eg. sea environment and dessert environment, this might turn into chaos like Insufficient Air, Insufficient Water, Insufficient warmth, Insufficient Light, causing the living things there to move to another habitat, repeating the cycle yet again.
Another scenario would be when man's selfishness causes Global warming etc. where all the living things can do is just die.
